Taking over from Bloopy AI

Learn how to step into a live conversation, message customers directly, and return control to the AI agent.

Although the Bloopy AI agent is designed to handle queries and process checkouts autonomously, there are times when human intervention is preferred. Administrators can take over any active conversation instantly from the dashboard.

1. Handoff Workflow

To step in and pause the AI agent:

  1. Select the customer's chat from the Conversations inbox list.
  2. Click the three-dot vertical action menu on the top-right corner of the middle chat window.
  3. Select 'Take Over as Admin' from the dropdown menu.
  4. Draft and send your reply using the enabled text input area at the bottom of the chat window.
Important Note: When an administrator takes over a conversation, the AI agent's active memory session is paused. The agent does not inherit or remember any manual messages sent during the takeover. Be sure to resolve the customer's specific query fully before handing control back to the AI.
