Bloopy utilizes the official Meta Embedded Signup flow. This native integration allows you to connect your phone number directly to the WhatsApp Business API, verify your business, and get your AI agent live in minutes without leaving the dashboard.

What is a WABA (WhatsApp Business Account)?

A WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) is Meta's enterprise-grade container that holds your WhatsApp phone numbers, message templates, profile details, and billing settings. Unlike a personal or business mobile app, a WABA lets you programmatically send messages at scale, utilize advanced AI agents, and build structured interactive checkout flows.

Step-by-Step Connection Flow

Connecting your account is straightforward and handles security and performance verification out of the box:

  1. Access Channels Dashboard: Go to Settings > Channels in your Bloopy dashboard.
  2. Initiate Connection: On the WhatsApp Business card, click the 'Connect' button. This launches the Connect WhatsApp Business modal.
  3. Review Privacy & Performance terms: The modal outlines our data access standards: we only access business conversations to train and optimize your AI agent, never personal chats. Click 'Continue to WhatsApp Business'.
  4. Understand Number & Billing Requirements: The next screen explains that you will be redirected to the Meta platform to log in. It also highlights that Meta requires a payment method on file to prevent service disruption. Click 'Continue to WhatsApp Business' to launch the secure Facebook login popup.

Navigating the Meta Embedded Signup (Two Options)

Once the Meta popup opens, log in to the Facebook account associated with your business. You will follow one of two paths:

Option 1: If you already have an existing WABA

  • Select Business Portfolio: Choose the Meta Business Suite portfolio that owns your WABA.
  • Choose Existing Account: Select your existing WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) from the list.
  • Verify/Select Number: Choose the verified phone number you want to connect to Bloopy. If the number is currently registered on the WhatsApp mobile app, you must delete the mobile account first to let Meta claim it for the API.
  • Grant Permissions: Approve the permission request allowing Bloopy to manage your business assets and messages.

Option 2: If you are new to the WhatsApp Business API

  • Create Meta Portfolio: If you don't have a Meta Business Suite portfolio, follow the prompts to create one.
  • Create WABA: Enter a name for your new WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) and choose your timezone.
  • Configure Business Profile: Fill out your public business details, including your WhatsApp Display Name (must match your branding), category (e.g., Shopping & Retail), and website URL.
  • Add and Verify Number: Input a clean, dedicated phone number (one that doesn't have an active personal or business WhatsApp app). Choose to verify it via SMS or Voice Call, and enter the 6-digit code.
Critical Billing Setup: Meta charges for WhatsApp templates based on their category once a 24-hour customer service window closes. To ensure your AI agent can always trigger outbound notifications, you MUST add a valid credit or debit card. You can do this by navigating to your WABA settings inside the Meta Billing Hub.

Completing Setup

After finishing the Meta flow and closing the popup, your Bloopy dashboard will automatically sync. The 'Connect' button on the WhatsApp Business channel card will update to show a coral/orange button reading 'Connected' with a dropdown menu, signifying that your AI agent is now live and ready to handle customer inquiries.
